Course Summary

This part-time course is for HR practitioners and line managers with a PGDip in Human Resource Management (HRM). Upgrade your qualification to a master's degree in a supportive environment. Reflect on workplace practice and research an area of strategic importance for your organisation.

The course will enable you to apply your research skills to a pertinent, workplace people management issue.

The course consists of one module, Research Project, which will equip you to become a skilled and critical researcher in people management. The module's focus is to provide you with the knowledge to plan and complete an independent research project. And to understand the impact of business and management research on workplace practice, people and organisations or policy. As well as your own practice.

Attendance on campus is for three, full-day workshops during the first semester. You'll then work with an academic supervisor on your chosen project.

Modules

This module aims to provide you with the opportunity to diagnose and investigate a current, organisational issue from an HR perspective. And provide an overview of contemporary literature, collect and analyse data, derive supportable conclusions and to make practical and actionable recommendations for change, improvement or enhancement of current practice.
