Why study MBA (Master of Business Administration) at Middlesex University?

Our MBA is designed to prepare you for the challenges of management, exposing you to the latest thinking in business across a variety of sectors within an international context. You will engage with key management disciplines including financial and economic analysis, strategy and innovation, managing and developing people, global marketing management, operations and supply chain management, and cross-cultural management and ethics.

Fundamental to our approach is a focus on both theory and practice. You will engage in activities from lectures, workshops, talks from visiting speakers alongside the opportunity to work on a field-based consulting project. Your final project will allow you to further develop your consulting skills, write a business plan or engage in a more traditional academic report.

Our strong emphasis on your personal and leadership development will be supported by regular sessions to develop your skills in a wide range of areas from communication and negotiation to team-building and leadership. Some workshops will be set in place, others will be chosen by you.

Our curriculum is tailored to ensure that you develop your knowledge of all key areas of running a business. In particular, to ensure that you develop the deep understanding required to apply this knowledge to practice.

Companies that our MBA graduates work for include the Bank of America, Barclays, Deloitte and Shell but this MBA will open up opportunities across a number of industries and roles. Our previous graduates work in positions such as Managing Director, Project Manager, Consultant and Finance Manager.

We normally require a second class honours degree as well as two or more years of relevant business experience. We encourage applications from students with graduate-level professional qualifications. If you do not possess either an honours degree or professional qualifications, you are welcome to apply but we normally require a GMAT score of at least 550 points. Candidates not meeting any of these requirements may, in exceptional cases, be considered for admission where there is strong supporting education or experience. All such cases will be at the discretion of the MBA Programme Leader.
