Course Summary

This conversion course is delivered by the AACSB-accredited Business School, an accreditation attained by fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide. It recognises our focus on excellence in all areas.

As a project manager you will be responsible for the strategic management of projects, ensuring their completion within the constraints of time, cost and quality. This course will develop your critical awareness of project management approaches and change management in a global business environment, as well as within wider society. It is a conversion course that will enable you to change subject or career direction.

You’ll also develop your personal leadership skills in order to be a successful and responsible manager. In addition, the core units will encourage you to participate in contemporary management debates whilst gaining a wider understanding of management functions and how they are related.

Your learning environment will include workshops and lectures supported by new technology and online material. There will also be a mix of teamwork and individual study encouraging you to become independent learners through research and project work. You will have the option to complete a research project or a consultancy project.

With an optional 30-week work placement as part of the course and an expert teaching team to support you, you’ll be well prepared for work when you graduate.

Careers

Upon completing this course you will be able to make a significant contribution within any project environment, at an individual level and as a member of a team. This would typically be in the initiation, planning and control, quality, risk and other related project management areas. You will also gain intermediate awards such as PGCert and PGDip.

Please see our website for the application deadlines. You should apply as early as possible to be considered for your course of choice. If you require a student visa, apply for the visa as soon as you have an unconditional offer and receive your CAS. There may be delays in visa processing in your country and you need to be in Bournemouth ready to study for the start of term.
